The Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills have announced the new International Education Code of Practice, which will take effect in January 2025. One key requirement is that institutions must implement practices to effectively manage education agents' performance. To support this, BCCIE is offering an Education Agent Management Masterclass in collaboration with Edified on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 1:00pm to 4:30pm PST.
Education agents play a critical role in supporting international students on their journey. In this current capped environment, it is more important than ever that your relationships with them are strong, mutually beneficial, and reflect best practice. This Education Agent Management Masterclass is designed to empower your teams to build effective and successful agent relationships and help them achieve better results at every stage of the relationship.
Masterclass participants will develop their knowledge and skills through social learning activities, case studies, role playing, and individual work. They will also developpractical tools through the accompanying workbook, which contains interactive tasks, templates, tips, and ideas covering every stage of the agent partnership lifecycle. With this toolkit, you'll be ready to apply what you've learned immediately after the training.
The training is delivered in an interactive Zoom workshop format, facilitated by Edified experts with more than 20 years hands-on experience working with education agents and based on extensive research in the UK, Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand and Canada to identify global best practice.

Participants will leave the training with the skills to:
- Identify best-fit education agents for your institution and in the context of a changing operating environment

- Use more nuanced and meaningful ways to assess, reward, and fine-tune agent performance that aligns with your institutional objectives and drives ethical practice
- Elevate internal understanding of the importance of the agent’s role and what support your team needs to minimise risk
- Make sure your contracts are fit for purpose and drive good behaviours

- This is a live training and not a recording. Please ensure you are available for the entire duration of the workshop.
- The registration fee for the training is $275CAD (plus taxes).
